Seoul, Nov 3: ARMYs, the wait is almost over. Global K-pop sensation BTS has confirmed that their much-awaited comeback album is ready and set for release in spring 2026.
The supergroup, comprising RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, had gone on hiatus to complete their mandatory military service. With all members scheduled to finish their service by June this year, the band had earlier announced plans for a new album and a world tour in 2026.

Now, BTS member Jimin has thrilled fans with an update on their progress. During a Weverse livestream, the 30-year-old singer revealed that the group has finished recording their upcoming album, their first new release since the 2022 anthology Proof. “Everyone, we finished recording… It can now come next spring,” Jimin said, adding excitedly, “I really want to promote our song soon.”
Jimin was joined by V (Kim Taehyung) during the livestream, after both made a surprise appearance at the second day of Jin’s RunSeokjin Ep. Tour Encore on November 1. The announcement sent fans into a frenzy online, with many expressing excitement and anticipation for teasers and posters of the upcoming release.
One fan wrote, “That means we are getting closer to a teaser or poster.” Another said, “I’m surprised you are finished with that already. We can’t wait!” while an enthusiastic fan commented, “It’s comeback time, everyone get ready, BTS is coming back to rewrite history.”
The update followed a Bloomberg report that hinted at the group’s plans for a massive 65-stop world tour, marking their grand return as a full group after completing military service. The report claimed over 30 concerts would be held in North America alone.
However, their agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, issued a statement clarifying that “the schedule and scale of the new world tour have not been decided yet.”
The return of BTS, after a four-year hiatus, is one of the most anticipated moments in the global music industry, and fans across the world are counting down to spring 2026 for what promises to be a historic comeback.
