iQOO 15 set for launch on Nov 26 – Flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip and Android 16 confirmed

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 31: Smartphone brand iQOO is gearing up to launch its much-awaited flagship, the iQOO 15, in India and global markets on November 26. The handset, which debuted in China earlier this month as the successor to the iQOO 13, has now reportedly appeared on a popular benchmarking platform, revealing key specifications and performance details ahead of its official release.

According to a Geekbench listing spotted by tipster @yabhishekhd, an iQOO device bearing the model number “Vivo I2501” has surfaced online. The listing confirms that the phone will feature an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, also seen in the Chinese variant. The chipset comes with two performance cores clocked at 4.61GHz and six efficiency cores running at 3.63GHz, promising top-tier performance for gaming and multitasking.

The device will reportedly pack up to 16GB of RAM (listed as approximately 14.86GB on Geekbench) and run on Android 16 out of the box. For the Indian market, it will ship with OriginOS 6, replacing the previous FuntouchOS 15 interface.

Performance-wise, the iQOO 15 delivered impressive results on Geekbench 6.5.0, scoring 3,558 points in single-core and 10,128 points in multi-core tests. These figures place it in the same league as other premium Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered devices like the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Redmi K90 Pro, both of which recorded similar benchmark results.

The upcoming flagship is expected to bring a blend of high-end performance, sleek design, and advanced features, aiming to strengthen iQOO’s foothold in India’s competitive premium smartphone segment. More details, including pricing and availability, are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch later this month.
