Mangaluru: Mission Sunday celebrated with devotion at St Anthony Church, Naravi

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 19: The World Mission Sunday was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at St Anthony Church, Naravi. The solemn holy Mass was offered by the parish priest, Fr Jerome D’Souza, who prayed for all missionaries working across the world. Fr Rupesh Raveen Tauro concelebrated the Mass.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a mission auction was held in the church premises. Parishioners participated wholeheartedly, bringing a variety of items for auction. The event featured an array of goods, with goats, rabbits, and cocks being the main attractions.

Adding colour to the celebration, the Women’s Commission members organised a food fest, offering a variety of homemade delicacies for sale. The event was marked by active participation, joy, and community spirit.

The parish priest, Fr Jerome D’Souza, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Sanjay Miranda, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Eugene and her team for organising the food fest, and Rohan Pereira, Ronald, Vincent, and all the parishioners for their generous support and active participation in making the Mission Sunday celebration a grand success.
