Mangaluru, Oct 17: As part of the national cyber security awareness month 2025 under the national theme “Cyber Jagrit Bharat,” the National Service Scheme Unit I of Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Science College and Hospital (YNYSCH), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), organized a Cyber Security Awareness Workshop on Thursday at the college auditorium.
The session aimed to sensitize students and faculty on safe and responsible digital practices in an increasingly connected world.

Royal Praveen D’Souza, Chairperson of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Science (AI & MS) and Assistant Dean, School of Information and Technology, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), served as the resource person.
He highlighted the significance of cyber hygiene, emphasizing the need for strong passwords, two-factor authentication, awareness of phishing attacks, and responsible social media behaviour. The workshop included interactive discussions and demonstrations to help participants identify and prevent common online threats.
Pre- and post-awareness assessments were conducted to evaluate participants’ knowledge gain, which showed a marked improvement in cyber safety awareness among students.
