Tata Motors passenger vehicles to begin trading from October 24 following restructuring

Daijiworld Media Network - Mumbai

Mumbai, Oct 17: Tata Motors has officially restructured its operations into two separate entities, with the passenger vehicles arm now to be listed as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, effective October 24. The commercial vehicle division will operate under a distinct entity, TML Commercial Vehicles, focusing on trucks, buses, and pickups.

The split aims to streamline operations and enhance focus on each business segment. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles will manage cars, SUVs, electric vehicles, and the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio, while the commercial vehicle unit consolidates all related investments under one firm.

Following the restructuring, Tata Motors’ share price experienced fluctuations, reflecting the separation rather than any loss in investor value. New derivatives and F&O contracts for Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited have begun trading, while the commercial vehicle entity awaits regulatory approval before its listing and trading commence.
