Patna, Oct 16: Taking a sharp dig at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Congress leader Pawan Khera on Thursday said Bihar does not need the “Adityanath model.” His remarks came in response to Adityanath’s rally in Danapur, where he targeted the RJD-Congress alliance, accusing it of promoting “jungle raj and dynastic politics” between 1990 and 2005.

“First, he should take responsibility for the ‘jungle raj’ he has created in Uttar Pradesh… God save Bihar. We don’t want the Adityanath model here,” Khera said.

CM Yogi, campaigning for BJP candidate Ram Kripal Yadav, urged voters to support a “double-engine government” in Bihar to accelerate development and continue the momentum built under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

On Mahagathbandhan seat-sharing talks ahead of the Assembly polls, Khera clarified there is no confusion, saying discussions are ongoing as parties present their points of view. The alliance is yet to finalise its seat-sharing formula, while NDA allies have nearly announced their candidates.

Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 for all 243 seats, with counting scheduled for November 14. The last date for filing nominations is October 17 for the first phase and October 20 for the second.
