Udupi: MoU signed between SMVITM & Anmaya Technologies

Udupi, Oct 16: The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Anmaya Technologies, Udupi, on October 14.

The signing of this MoU marks a significant step towards fostering collaboration in the domains of VLSI design, semiconductor technology, and Verilog-based research and development. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by promoting hands-on learning, project-based training, and exposure to real-time industrial practices.

Through this collaboration, students will gain opportunities to work on VLSI and semiconductor-related projects, engage in research activities, and participate in skill development programmes organized under the VLSI Club of the department. Faculty members will also benefit through joint research initiatives, knowledge exchange programmes, and technical mentorship provided by Anmaya Technologies.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both institutions emphasized the importance of such collaborations in preparing students for the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry and strengthening the nation’s design ecosystem.

The event was graced by Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO, Sode Group of Institutions; deans and head of the department, faculty members of the ECE department were also present on the occasion. Anmaya Technologies was represented by its founder N J Hariprasad.

The MoU is expected to pave the way for future joint research, innovation-driven activities, and technical advancements aligning with the institute’s vision of nurturing industry-ready engineers.
