GFGC Karkala organises workshop on power of public speaking

Karkala, Oct 13: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Department of PG Studies in Commerce of Government First Grade College of Professional & Business Management, Karkala, organised a workshop on “Power of Public Speaking” on 13th October 2025 at the M.Com Lecture Hall. The resource person for the session was Sharath Kumar Harady, assistant professor, Department of Business Administration, GFGC & PG Studies Centre, Haleyangadi.

Sharath Kumar Harady conducted an engaging and interactive session, providing practical insights into overcoming stage fear and mastering presentation techniques. He also provided a blueprint for the Speakers’ Hub Initiative which the department planning to set up in the coming days. Dr Avinash, PG coordinator, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of communication skills in professional life.

The keynote address was delivered by Vinay M S, IQAC coordinator, who emphasized the role of confidence and clarity in public speaking. Dr Subrahmanya from the department of management was also present. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sourabha Phatak of M.Com (Previous). The programme was compered by Sharanya Puthraya of M.Com (Previous). A total of 42 post-graduate students actively participated in the workshop.
