Mangaluru, Oct 11: The auditorium of St Theresa’s School, Bendur, echoed with rhythm, laughter, and joy as students from grades 3 to 5 participated in ‘Sway with Family,’ a unique intergenerational dance competition that brought together students and their parents or grandparents. Aptly themed ‘A Dance Competition through Generations,’ the event was a delightful blend of talent, tradition, and togetherness.

The programme commenced with a soulful prayer, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the event. This was followed by a formal welcome, setting a gracious tone for the day. The chief guest for the occasion, Vidwan U K Praveen, director of Kadri Nrithya Vidya Nilaya Charitable Trust, Mangaluru, appreciated the school’s initiative in promoting family bonding through the performing arts. Sr Lourdes, the respected principal of the school, graced the occasion and encouraged the participants with her inspiring presence.

The dance floor came alive as students performed with their parents and grandparents. Each performance showcased not only their dance skills but also the warmth of relationships across generations. The audience was thoroughly entertained, cheering enthusiastically for every participant. The judges for the day were Yatish and Dhatri.

Adding to the excitement were spot games, which brought smiles and laughter from both participants and the audience alike. The event concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the spirit of participation, creativity, and family bonding.
