Mangaluru: PhD awarded to Udaya of St Aloysius University

Mangaluru, Oct 10: Udaya, librarian at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), has been conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, for his research thesis titled: 'Role of University Grants Commission in the Development of College Libraries in the Mangalore and Mysore Regions: A Study'.

Udaya conducted his research under the supervision of Dr Khaisar Muneebulla Khan, retired professor and former chairman, Department of Library and Information Science, Mangalore University.

Hailing from Thogthi, Ganganadu, Byndoor in Udupi District, Udaya is the son of Venka and Gulabi. His academic accomplishment is a source of pride for his family, institution and community.
