Raghav Juyal opens up about early struggles: From shared rooms to Bollywood spotlight

Mumbai, Oct 9: From being crowned the “King of Slow Motion” on Dance India Dance to acting in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Bads of Bollywood, Raghav Juyal’s rise has been one of grit, humour, and heart. While his playful moment of crooning Kaho Na Kaho in front of Emraan Hashmi recently went viral, it’s his candid recollection of his early Mumbai struggles that has truly struck a chord with fans.

In a heartfelt chat with Yuvaa, Raghav opened up about his initial days in Mumbai, when dreams were big but pockets were empty. “When I arrived, I had nothing. But I never felt sad or defeated. I actually enjoyed that phase,” he said, adding with a laugh, “I had the best time eating vada pavs every day. When I was a dancer, I lived with ten boys in one small room. Our fridge didn’t work, so we used it as a cupboard — to keep our undergarments! If someone opened it by mistake, they’d get the shock of their life.”

The dancer-turned-actor also shared a humorous memory from his first visit to Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat. “When I entered, there was a scanner like at the airport,” he recalled in an earlier interview with NDTV. “People were looking at me like — ‘Who’s this guy? Has someone come looking for work?’”

Now, with reports of Raghav being part of Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan, his journey seems to have come full circle — from crashing in cramped rooms with fellow dancers to sharing the screen with Bollywood’s biggest icons.

Raghav’s story stands as a reminder that perseverance, passion, and a sense of humour can turn even the toughest struggles into unforgettable memories.
