Udupi, Oct 9: Leslie Cornelio has been elected as the president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Udupi. The election was held recently during the annual general body meeting held at Mother of sorrows Church, Udupi.
The annual general meeting of the Konkani Bhasha Mandal, comprising communities such as Saraswat, Gowda Saraswat, Roman Catholic, Daivajna Brahmin, Navayat, Muslim, Kudbi, Konkani Madivala, and Kharvi, was held recently.
Leslie Cornelio was elected as the president, Kalyani Pai as the immediate past president, Pramila Rodrigues as the vice president, and Vasanth Nayak as the secretary. Rekha Pai was chosen as the joint secretary, while Peter Mendonsa and Michael D’Souza were elected as treasurer and joint treasurer respectively.
