Kasargod, Oct 7: A tragic incident occurred in Kadambar under Manjeshwar police jurisdiction, where a young couple allegedly died by suicide by consuming poison. The deceased have been identified as Ajith (35) and his wife Shweta (27).

Ajith was a painting worker, and Shweta worked as a private school teacher at Varkadi Bakery Junction. The incident took place on Monday, following which both were admitted in critical condition to Deralakatte Hospital. Ajith succumbed to his injuries on Monday night, while Shweta passed away on Tuesday morning.

On Monday, Ajith had reportedly gone with his three-year-old son to his sister’s house in Bandiyodi. He informed her that he was going elsewhere and requested her to look after his son. After leaving the child at his sister’s home, Ajith and Shweta allegedly consumed poison. Later in the evening, neighbours found them lying on their house veranda and rushed them to the hospital, but both succumbed due to severe poisoning.

Initial police reports indicate financial distress as a possible reason behind the act. The Manjeshwar police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation.

I have said this before and I am repeating this once again, when so many people are taking extreme steps and attributing them to Financial Stress means just one thing : "OUR LAWS THAT GOVERN INSOLVENCY AND BANKRUPCIES MUST CHANGE". Our needs immediate change. I am hoping against hope that leaders in our communities sit down with ALL our elected representatives and enact laws against Insolvency and Bankruptcies. One suggestion is that the government refund the taxes that they collect to all deserving people. With the cost of living becoming unaffordable licensed Trustees in Bankruptcy should determine between genuine bankruptcies and fake. If India has to become a "welfare" state then our tax rupees should be made best use and precious lives will be saved.

I find it very hard and sad for that child. When one has child its their responsibility to bring up the child whatever may come ,not consume poison and die.And mother too has a biggest responsibility towards it.Why then a child? What will that child do now?In someones house grow up without parents like a tree?No love. no care .My heart goes to that child.May God bless it and hope family takes care of it.Mother is teacher and should have the sense she is leaving back that child?Have no sympathy for the dead.

Heart breaking incident why they have to go to Mangalore . This is all because of the kerala Govt after so many years still they dont have quality hospitals it is a shame . Why they keep electing the 2 useless parties in kerala again and again. All the needy people should get the help and not the rich one's check the ration cards. We see people in ullal and even in kerala people who are having high income they come in big cars and collect ration rice and items. Recheck all the ration cards visit their house and just cancel their cards . These people have 10 10 kids and they want to have all the resources first . Cancel all the cards of people having more than 3 children's then you will come to know what is happening.

We pay so much taxes only for govt to give free handouts and reservations to some section of society. Reservations which their children and their children keep on continuing like leeches sucking on blood, when hardworking people like these are forced to take such harsh decisions. Country is going to die if this continues
