Byndoor, Oct 3: A major mishap was averted after a container lorry rammed into a bridge at Khambadakone on National Highway 66 on October 2.

Due to the impact, there was a possibility of the vehicle plunging into the river.

 

Fortunately, the lorry came to a halt on the bridge itself, saving the driver and cleaner from danger.

The container lorry was on its way from Mangaluru to Goa when the incident occurred.

    God only saved a major accident.Lorry seems to be heavy and oversized?Road too narrow?Is it allowed to pass on that bridge?Thank God with lorry there was chance of other vehicles behind it to go water.No restrictions?

    Possible over speeding to cover the bridge length with min time. (Old bridge)
