Mumbai, Sep 30: The 70th edition of the Filmfare Awards is set to be a star-studded spectacle with Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Maniesh Paul taking center stage as co-hosts. The glittering ceremony, celebrating the best of Indian cinema in 2024, will be held on October 11, 2025, at the EKA Arena, Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad.
This year’s edition carries special significance as it marks seven decades of Filmfare, a legacy award that has long been considered a benchmark of cinematic excellence in India.
Speaking about returning to the Filmfare stage, Shah Rukh Khan shared, “From the first time I held the Black Lady in my hands, to sharing countless memories with my colleagues and fans over the years — it’s been a journey of love, cinema, and magic. To return as a co-host for the 70th year is truly special, and I promise we’ll make it a night to remember.”
Karan Johar, who has been a frequent face at the awards since 2000, added, “Filmfare is not just an award, it’s a legacy that has shaped the very narrative of Indian cinema. I’m truly delighted to co-host what promises to be one of the most memorable nights ever.”

Interestingly, both Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar recently appeared in ‘The Ba*ds of Bollywood’**, marking the directorial debut of SRK’s son, Aryan Khan. The buzz around their collaboration has only intensified anticipation for their on-stage chemistry at the awards.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar also made headlines for his heartfelt praise of Bobby Deol, who spoke candidly in a podcast about his career struggles, personal setbacks, and his powerful comeback. Johar called Bobby “one of the best people in the business” and lauded his resurgence in Bollywood.
