Mangaluru, Sep 27: It has been less than a week since patchwork was carried out on the Kulur–Baikampady stretch, and potholes have already reappeared, raising serious concerns.
Several deaths have occurred recently due to potholes on this stretch. Madhavi lost her life at Kottara after an accident caused by a pothole, sparking outrage across the city. Following the incident, authorities initiated patchwork on the Kulur–Baikampady road. However, within just a week, potholes have re-emerged, raising questions about the quality of the roadwork.

Soon after the Kulur bridge on the way to NMPT, potholes have resurfaced. Although patchwork was completed on the Kulur bridge itself, new potholes have appeared immediately after the bridge, posing a danger to motorists.
As days pass, small potholes are likely to expand into larger ones, making the stretch even more hazardous. Authorities are urged to take the matter seriously and fix the potholes before another life is claimed.
