New Delhi, Sep 27: Skoda India has announced the launch of the Octavia RS on October 17, 2025, with pre-bookings beginning on October 6 and deliveries scheduled for November. The performance-oriented sedan will be brought to India via the CBU route and powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine delivering 216 hp and 370 Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission. Based on the UK-spec model, the Octavia RS will not feature Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC).
The sporty sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 kmph. The RS variant is lowered by 15 mm compared to the standard model and features a unique exhaust system to enhance its aggressive character.
Design highlights include LED Matrix headlights with DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, and sharp body lines. Inside, it boasts sports seats, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and premium enhancements.
Expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh, the Octavia RS will take on the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Skoda plans a limited launch with only 100 units for the Indian market, ensuring exclusivity for enthusiasts.
