Puttur, Sep 26: A man accused of assaulting his son over a dispute regarding the sale of ration rice has gone missing from Kedambadi village, according to a complaint filed at Sampya police station.

The missing person has been identified as Choma (65), a resident of Idpadi in Kedambadi. On September 3 evening, Choma, along with his second son Ravi, allegedly assaulted his elder son Purandar after questioning him about selling ration rice.

Purandar, who sustained injuries, was admitted to Puttur government hospital the same evening. Following this, on September 4, a case was registered at Sampya police station against Choma and Ravi for the assault.
