Mangaluru, Sep 24: Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, secured multiple All-India Top 5 awards at the prestigious NextGen Skill Conclave 2025. The national-level event was held from September 17 to 19 at East Bourne Resort, Shimla, and brought together leading educational institutions, academicians, industry experts, and policymakers to deliberate on the latest trends in skill development, artificial intelligence, and industry-aligned education.
Principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D represented the institution and actively participated in the conclave, engaging with eminent personalities and exploring avenues for future collaborations in advanced skilling initiatives. On this occasion, the governor of Himachal Pradesh Shiv Pratap Shukla presented the award, further adding prestige to the institution’s achievements.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Raghavendra Rao expressed happiness over SIT’s success and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty. He remarked that recognition today comes only through consistent hard work and reaffirmed that SIT students are being trained with updated curriculum, making them industry-ready from the start.
Dr A Srinivas Rao emphasized that as technology advances rapidly, institutions play a vital role in providing students with opportunities and the right training. He added that SIT winning eight national awards is a remarkable milestone. “Technology evolves every day, and with each change comes upliftment. Students must learn through continuous experience, as there is no full stop to learning — it is as vast as the ocean,” he noted.
