Mumbai, Sep 23: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has clarified that the videos circulating online depicting him as Maharishi Valmiki are entirely AI-generated and “fake.”

On Tuesday, Akshay took to his Instagram stories to address the rumours about his casting in a film trailer. He wrote, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI.”

He further appealed to the media, stating, “What's worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as 'news' without even verifying if these are real or morphed. In today's time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information.”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Jolly LLB 3, a courtroom comedy-drama directed by Subhash Kapoor. The film, a sequel to Jolly LLB 2, stars Akshay alongside Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla.

The first installment, released in 2013, followed Advocate Jagdish Tyagi, also known as Jolly, as he fought to secure justice for six innocent labourers, inspired loosely by real-life cases. The second installment in 2017 saw Akshay portraying Jagdishwar Mishra, battling a corrupt system to bring justice in a case involving a fake encounter.
