Film industry stalwarts including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep, and celebrated cinematographer P. C. Sreeram have extended heartfelt congratulations to the iconic actor, praising his unmatched legacy and monumental contribution to Indian cinema.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi shared a warm message along with a picture with Mohanlal.

"On the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee, the Government of India is pleased to announce that Shri Mohanlal will be conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2023."
The ministry also highlighted the actor’s influence on generations of cinema lovers:
"Mohanlal’s remarkable cinematic journey inspires generations! The legendary actor, director, and producer is being honoured for his iconic contribution to Indian Cinema. His unmatched talent, versatility, and relentless hard work have set a golden standard in Indian film history."
The award will be formally presented to Mohanlal at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on September 23.
Mohanlal’s accolades include the Padma Shri (2001) and the Padma Bhushan (2019), both conferred by the Government of India. In 2009, he made history by becoming the first Indian actor to be awarded the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army.
