Tej Pratap warns of ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ over sister Rohini’s cryptic post

Patna, Sep 21: A cryptic social media post by RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya has stirred political speculation in Bihar, prompting her elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav to warn that anyone insulting his sister would face Lord Krishna’s “Sudarshan Chakra.”

Rohini, who donated a kidney to her father in 2022, wrote on X, “I have fulfilled my duty and dharma as a daughter and a sister… I have no desire for any position, nor do I have any political ambition. For me, my self-respect is supreme.” She later unfollowed RJD leaders, including her brother and party leader Tejashwi Yadav, and set her account to private, fuelling rumours of a family rift.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Rohini had sought an Assembly poll ticket, but the party leadership turned it down. Last year, she unsuccessfully contested the Saran Lok Sabha seat.

Defending his sister, Tej Pratap said, “Rohini is much older than me. The sacrifice she made is hard for any daughter or sister. Whoever dares to insult her will have to face Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra.”

Political rivals quickly seized on the episode. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, “Rohini Acharya donated a kidney for her father and has expressed her pain through a tweet. Now it is Lalu Yadav’s responsibility to decide who is at fault.” The RJD has yet to respond officially to Rohini’s post.
