Patna, Sep 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday launched a fresh attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), with party leader Amit Malviya calling the RJD a “synonym for dirty thinking.”
In a post on X, Malviya referred to a video allegedly showing a man abusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during a rally addressed by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. “In the land of Sita Maiya, Bihar, the late mother of the Prime Minister is being repeatedly insulted. Leaders of the Congress and RJD are promoting this audacity from the party’s official platform,” he wrote.

Malviya added, “After all, what will be gained by abusing the Prime Minister’s mother? Sinking to this level in politics is shameful. RJD is synonymous with dirty thinking. As long as this party exists in Bihar, Bihar will continue to be shamed.”
The controversy traces back to August, when a man was arrested in Darbhanga for allegedly using abusive language against PM Modi and his mother during a Congress event. The BJP has repeatedly demanded accountability from the Opposition.
RJD MLA Dr Mukesh Roushan denied the claims, stating no party worker abused the Prime Minister. “The video shared by BJP has been doctored to defame RJD,” he said.
The row escalated during Tejashwi Yadav’s ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’ in Samastipur, with BJP claiming the RJD leader did not intervene to stop the offensive remarks, terming it disrespect toward women and PM Modi’s family.
