Lucknow, Sep 16: A 13-year-old boy in Mohanlalganj tragically ended his life after losing Rs 14 lakh from his father’s bank account while playing an online game, police said on Tuesday.
D K Singh, SHO of Mohanlalganj police station, said the Class 6 student took the extreme step on Monday after his father discovered the missing funds during a bank visit and informed the family.
Panicked by the situation, the boy went to his room on the roof, allegedly under the pretext of studying, and hanged himself. His sister discovered him later in the night and alerted the family.
The boy was rushed to a community health centre but was declared dead by the doctors. The body has been sent for post-mortem, the SHO added.
