Udupi, Sep 11: Sharada Pre-University College in collaboration with the Department of Pre-University Education, Udupi District, organized the taluk-level football tournament at the college grounds.

The event was inaugurated by Sharada Residential School principal Vincent D’Costa, who lit the ceremonial lamp, while college principal Vikram Dev Prabhu, the tournament director, extended his best wishes to the players.

In the girls’ category, Sharada PU College emerged champions and qualified for the district-level competition. In the boys’ category, the MGM team clinched first place and secured their spot at the district level.

At the valedictory ceremony, Vidyavanta Acharya, director of Sharada Educational Institutions, distributed prizes to the winners and urged students to embrace sportsmanship as an integral part of life. The tournament was well-coordinated by Sukesh Poojary, the college’s physical education teacher, with the support of the entire staff, ensuring the event’s success.
