Mumbai, Sep 11: Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan took viewers on a nostalgic trip down memory lane in the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 17, which returned to screens on August 11 for its 17th season.
During the episode, Amitabh interacted with contestant Meenal Upreti from Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, who had won the Fastest Finger First round. Meenal shared that she had studied at All Saints, Nainital, for two years, prompting Big B to reveal his own connection to the school. He recounted that he had studied at Sherwood Boys School, the “sister school” of All Saints, and shared amusing anecdotes from his school days.
“Bahot saari yaadein taaza hogayi, batayenge toh maar padegi ghar jaakar,” Amitabh quipped, recalling the rush of memories that surfaced.
He fondly described how every Sunday, students from Sherwood Boys and All Saints would gather at the Chapel. “Wohi ek din hota tha jab hum logon ka coat, blazer, badhiya baal banakar hum parade mein khade rehte the. Kyunki pata hota tha All Saints se mahilayein aane waali hain,” he said, highlighting the excitement among boys to look their best when girls visited.
Amitabh also reminisced about the playful moments during church prayers: the girls sat in the front rows, while boys eagerly positioned themselves behind to secretly slip notes under their kneeling posture. “What childishness it was, but those were truly the best days of my life, the happiest days,” he added, bringing laughter and nostalgia to the audience.
KBC 17 continues to captivate viewers not just with its quiz-based challenges but also with heartfelt stories and engaging interactions, making it one of the most-loved shows on Indian television.
