Solapur, Sep 10: In a scene straight out of a movie, two members of a gang were caught on camera pulling off a daylight theft atop a moving truck near Ratnapur village on the Solapur–Dhule highway in Maharashtra.

The viral video shows the men climbing onto the truck while it was in motion and stealing goods, which were then passed down to bikers following behind.

Following the circulation of the footage, the local crime branch in Dharashiv launched a swift operation and arrested six members of the gang. Police said interrogation is underway to determine the full extent of their activities.

Though officials have not yet confirmed what items were stolen, they noted that several similar theft complaints had been registered recently. More details are expected to emerge during questioning.

Apart from this incident, cases of truck drivers being stopped at night, assaulted, and looted have also been reported in Yermala, raising concerns about increasing highway crimes in the region.
