Mysuru, Sep 5: A solemn ceremony was held at St Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli, K R Nagar, on Thursday, September 4, as the newly erected flag post was blessed by archbishop emeritus Dr Bernard Moras, apostolic administrator of the diocese of Mysore.
The blessing took place in the presence of Msgr Alfred John Mendonca, vicar general of the diocese of Mysore, and Fr Sebastine Alexander, financial administrator of the diocese. Fr David Sagaya Raj, rector of the Basilica, and Fr Praveen Pedru, administrator, joined parishioners and devotees in the thanksgiving celebration.
The event was marked with devotion and grandeur, with the St Anthony’s Institutions’ school band from Doddekoppal and Dornahalli, K R Nagar, leading the procession.
The flag post was generously donated by the Yajaman family, represented by Anthony Kiran from Begur, Bengaluru.
