Mumbai, Sep 5: Actress Saba Azad is basking in the glory of her latest release Songs of Paradise, which has been receiving wide appreciation from critics and audiences alike. Adding to her joy, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, her boyfriend, penned a heartfelt message praising her performance and celebrating her success.
Hrithik took to social media to share stills of Saba from the film and wrote an emotional note. He said the praise for the makers, technicians and artistes of Songs of Paradise was “truly heartening.” Recalling how he had watched an early cut of the film, Hrithik shared, “I remember being touched to my core. Tears filled me up with such deep love, especially for the character of Zeba.”
He further added, “The applause this movie is receiving has restored my faith in the universe. You get what you deserve. And you, @sabazad, for the incredible artiste you are and the exquisite art you create, deserve all the applause. I have seen your struggles, frustrations, and the agony that genuine artistes face in an industry that demands ‘followers’ before ‘actors’. Which is why today, I feel immense joy watching you get what you truly deserve. And you, my love, deserve the world and more. This performance goes down as one of my top 10 performances ever.”
Ending his note with a touching confession, Hrithik wrote, “Rock on baby. My heart is full. I love you.”
Meanwhile, in an exclusive interaction with IANS, Saba Azad spoke about her growth as a musician through the film. She revealed that working on Songs of Paradise introduced her to Kashmiri music, a genre she had not been deeply familiar with before.
“I was delighted to learn about the legacy of Raj Begum and her music. For me, it was an education. Music is a universal language — it doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the words; it still resonates with you,” Saba shared, expressing gratitude to director Danish Renzu for exposing her to this rich musical heritage.
