Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 3: The film Kudla Namdu Ooru, created almost entirely by talents from Dakshina Kannada, is gearing up for release. The final stage of post-production is underway, and promotions have already begun with the release of the trailer and audio.

The trailer and audio launch event was attended by former Film Chamber president Bham Harish, producers’ association president Umesh Banakar, directors’ association president N R K Vishwanath, actor Chetan Raj and others.

The film, produced under the banner of Krutarath Productions, has been co-directed by Durgaprasad (Alok) and Arya D K. Young actor Durgaprasad also plays the lead role in the film. The cast includes Prakash Tumminadu, Ramesh, Swaraj Shetty, Shreya Shetty, Nayana Salian, Anika Shetty, Niriksha Shetty, Prajwal, and Dileep Karkala.

Speaking at the launch, actor-director Durgaprasad said, “This is a true coastal film rooted in Dakshina Kannada. The entire story is set against the backdrop of coastal life and people. It is based on real incidents from the region and, though it narrates the coastal story, it is designed to appeal to people across Karnataka. That is why we chose to make the film in Kannada instead of Tulu.”

Actress Shreya Shetty, who plays the role of the heroine’s sister, said, “This film has been a great learning experience for me. I have high expectations from it.”

The film features three songs with music composed by Nithin Shivaram and background score by Shreeshasth. Cinematography is by Mayur R Shetty, and editing by Nishith Poojary.
