Talapady accident: Assembly Speaker U T Khader consoles victims’ families, seeks probe, compensation

Mangaluru, Aug 28: In a tragic accident at Talapady highway today, a KSRTC bus rammed into an autorickshaw, leaving five people dead, including a young girl, four women passengers, and the auto driver Haidar Ali. Several others sustained injuries in the collision.

Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader visited the hospital where the injured are undergoing treatment and consoled the grieving families of the deceased. He instructed doctors to complete post-mortem and related procedures at the earliest and hand over the bodies to the families without delay.

Khader also interacted with the injured patients and encouraged their family members to stay strong in the face of the tragedy.

Later, Khader spoke to Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy over the phone, urging a thorough investigation into the incident. He also demanded that KSRTC extend compensation to the families of those who lost their lives.
