Kundapur, Aug 27: A petrol and diesel tanker lorry traveling from Mangaluru towards Shivamogga overturned near Patnahole in Siddapura on Wednesday, triggering panic in the area.

Fortunately, the driver managed to escape without injuries, averting a potential tragedy.

Following the mishap, police immediately rushed to the spot and imposed restrictions on vehicular movement along the Siddapura–Hosanagar state highway as a precautionary measure. Traffic was diverted to alternative routes to ensure public safety and to avoid any untoward incident.

Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control, and necessary measures have been taken to prevent leakage-related hazards.
