Karkala, Aug 26: The Christ King Primary School girls’ team (Under-14) and the High School boys’ team (Under-17) secured first place in their respective categories and have been selected to participate in the Mysore Division-level Tournament.

The Christ King English Medium School, Karkala, has achieved first place in the Udupi District-level Shuttle Badminton Tournament for boys and girls under the age categories of 14 and 17, organized under the aegis of the Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, and the Udupi Zilla Panchayat, at Government Composite High School, Valakadu.

The Under-14 girls’ team consisted of Khushi Shetty of Class 8, Trishma S of Class 6, and Katlyn Angel Pinto of class 6, who will now represent the district at the divisional level. The Under-17 boys’ team was represented by class 10 students Gaurav R, Pratham Shetty, and Shobith K H, who also qualified for the Mysore Division tournament.
