London, Aug 22: A British gamer witnessed a chilling tragedy unfold live on his screen when his online gaming friend, a 32-year-old woman from Finland, was stabbed to death during a late-night session.

According to investigators, the victim had been playing with her UK-based friend for nearly ten hours on April 23, when the man suddenly heard the sound of glass shattering at her home in Puumala. He asked her if the door was locked, but soon after, he heard a stranger’s voice speaking in Finnish. Neighbours later reported hearing loud screams.

The helpless gamer, unable to intervene from over 1,000 miles away, immediately emailed Finnish police around 5 am. Authorities later discovered the woman dead in her living room.

Reports said the attacker drove about 30 miles to Juva after the stabbing, where he set fire to a barn. Witnesses saw him emerge from the flames with arms outstretched before collapsing. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators confirmed that the man was not previously known to police and had no connection to the victim. They believe he randomly targeted the house because its lights were on and it appeared accessible. Criminal Inspector Marfa Raipela confirmed the case is not being treated as terrorism and has now been closed following the suspect’s death.

This shocking case comes just days after another disturbing incident in France, where influencer Raphael Graven, known as Jean Pormanove, died during a livestream on platform Kick after enduring hours of torture and abuse. Graven, famous for extreme online challenges, was reportedly beaten and humiliated by two fellow influencers in front of his audience.
