Mumbai, Aug 17: Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, is set to premiere on JioHotstar on September 3, 2025, for subscribers.
The sci-fi adventure-comedy follows Lilo, a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts a “dog” from a shelter, only to discover he is Stitch, a runaway alien created by Dr. Jumba as Experiment 626. As Lilo teaches him about love, family, and Hawaiian tradition “ohana”, Stitch bonds with her, while Dr. Jumba sets out to find him.
The film stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo, with Sydney Agudong, Chris Sanders (voice of Stitch), Zach Galifianakis, and Billy Magnussen. Music is by Dan Romer, and cinematography by Nigel Bluck.
After its theatrical release on May 23, the movie received a decent response, earning an IMDb rating of 6.8/10, and promises to be a complete family entertainer.
