Grand Independence Day celebration held at Udupi City Centre Mall

Udupi, Aug 16: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at Udupi City Centre Mall on Friday, August 15.

The flag hoisting ceremony of the Independence Day celebration held at the City Centre Mall building was carried out by Jayakar Shetty Indrali, chief commissioner of Bharat scouts and guides, along with entrepreneur Purushotham Shetty.

The chief guests present were Hanif of Mangaluru MASH AL Properties, Nishchith Damodar – managing director of Kundapura DK Group of Companies, Riaz – president of Udupi Jamia Masjid, Abdul Rehman Bava – owner of Mangaluru Kuzi Mandi Restaurant, Ashfaq – entrepreneur from Qatar, Nazir Ahmed Bava – businessman from Mangaluru, Jamaluddin Abbas – managing director of Udupi Developers, Hanif – business consultant of Udupi Developers, and Srinivasan – business development director.

Sponsored by MASH AL Property, Sultan Diamonds & Gold, and Saniya Mobiles, several programmes including patriotic songs, cultural activities, and entertainment events were organized.

There were also competitions such as a painting contest, kids’ fashion show, and quiz competition, which saw enthusiastic participation. In the evening valedictory ceremony, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions.

The chief guests at the closing ceremony were Imran of Udupi Saniya Mobiles, Hanif of MASH AL Properties, and entrepreneurs Abdul Rehman Bava, Mustafa, and Nazir Ahmed Bava.

Pradeep Moolya – manager of City Centre Mall, and Syed Anees – event manager, were present. The programme was compered by Hisrar Tallani.
