Nagaland governor La Ganesan passes away at 80

Chennai, Aug 15: Nagaland Governor La Ganesan passed away on Friday night while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai, officials said. He was 80.

According to the Kohima Raj Bhavan PRO, Ganesan had been in the ICU for several days. He collapsed at his home in Chennai on August 8, sustaining a head injury, and was rushed to the hospital, where he remained under intensive monitoring.

La Ganesan was appointed as the 21st Governor of Nagaland on February 12, 2023, and assumed office on February 20 that year.
