Mangaluru: 79th Independence Day celebrated at Hayatul Islam Badria Juma Masjid, Madrasa

Mangaluru, Aug 15: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur at Hayatul Islam Badria Juma Masjid and Madrasa, Edoorupadavu in Moodushedde.

The national flag was hoisted by the president of the Masjid and Madrasa, Iqbal A P, along with former presidents S Aliabba and Haji Mohammed Hanif, former vice-president M D Jabbar, Khateeb Safwan Irfani Mundoje, vice-president Abdul Razak A R, and other dignitaries.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, various competitions were organised for madrasa students, and prizes were distributed to the winners.

The programme was attended by head Ustad Zubair Yamani, Muallim Jabir Jauhari Kalladka, senior member Haji Hanif Maulavi, secretary Sajuddin, treasurer Imran Ali, former vice-president Mansoor, senior member Abdul Basheer, Badria Young Men’s Association president Naushad, joint secretary Arif, former member Abdul Razak Mandara, and several others.
