Bengaluru, Aug 14: Deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar reaffirmed his stance on the Dharmasthala issue in the Assembly, stressing that his belief in the traditions and practices of the temple remains steadfast.
“My stand on Dharmasthala, my stand on Manjunatha, and my belief in Manjunatha are unshaken. I have full faith in the customs and traditions there,” he asserted.
Shivakumar urged that the matter should not be used for political gain, adding, “Do not involve the Congress high command or any unnecessary terms like ‘child of sin’ in this issue. This is related to the home department, and the home minister will address it.”
His strong remarks in the House came amidst ongoing discussions and debates surrounding Dharmasthala.
