Udupi, Aug 13: Udupi City Centre Mall will celebrate the 79th Independence Day in grand style with a series of events under the banner Freedom Fiesta 2025 on August 15.
Addressing the media, Mall manager Radhakrishna Prabhu announced that the celebrations will begin with a flag hoisting ceremony at 8:30 am. The event will be graced by Udupi municipal council member T G Hegde, chief commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides Jayakar Shetty, businessman Kodi Ibrahim Mohammed, Ujwal Developers’ Purushotam Shetty, Hanif, managing director of D K Group of Companies Kundapura Nishchinth Damodar, and president of Jamia Masjid Udupi Riyaz.
As part of the celebrations, a drawing competition, kids’ fashion show, and quiz competition will be held at 3 pm, followed by patriotic songs, cultural performances, and entertainment programmes. The valedictory ceremony, along with prize distribution for the winners, is scheduled for 8 pm.
