Baltimore, Aug 10: Six people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured in a mass shooting on Saturday night near the intersection of Spaulding and Queensbury Avenues in Baltimore, police confirmed. The shooting occurred around 8:50 pm in a neighborhood where residents had gathered outside to eat.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the young girl sustained a hand injury that is not serious. A 38-year-old man is in critical condition and was rushed to a nearby hospital, prompting homicide detectives to be dispatched to the scene. Other victims, aged between 23 and 52, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

“We have little information at this point,” Worley told ABC News. “Multiple rounds were fired and multiple victims were involved.” He described how individuals sitting on porches or near cars were caught in the shooting.

Police have not yet released details about any suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and several streets in the area remain closed.
