Palnadu, Aug 10: A first-year intermediate student at Dachepalli Government Junior College in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district was allegedly subjected to ragging, assault, and electric shocks by a group of senior students. The disturbing incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, reportedly involved second-year minor students who also threatened the victim’s life.

Sources said the victim was taken to the college hostel where the assault took place, with an outsider reportedly assisting the attackers. Following the incident, the student’s parents filed a police complaint, and an investigation is currently underway.

In response, various student associations have held protests condemning the ragging episode. The college authorities have not yet issued an official statement.
