Telangana, Aug 8: In a spine-chilling incident that has left the region stunned, police in Karimnagar have arrested a woman, her lover, and his friend for allegedly murdering her husband using a bizarre method reportedly learned from a YouTube video.
The accused, identified as Ramadevi, her paramour Karan Rajayya (50), and his associate Srinivas, are now in police custody. The victim, Sampath, a library cleaner by profession, lived with Ramadevi and their two children. According to police, Sampath was addicted to alcohol and often quarrelled with his wife when drunk.

To support the family, Ramadevi ran a small snack shop, where she came into contact with Rajayya. Their acquaintance soon blossomed into an illicit relationship. Investigators revealed that Ramadevi, fed up with her husband, began searching online for ways to kill him and came across a YouTube video detailing a fatal technique — pouring pesticide into a person’s ear.
Ramadevi allegedly shared the plan with Rajayya, who agreed to execute it, enlisting the help of his friend Srinivas. On the fateful night, the trio invited Sampath near the Bommakal flyover. After giving him alcohol until he was severely intoxicated, Rajayya allegedly poured pesticide into his ear, causing instant death. Rajayya later phoned Ramadevi to confirm the killing.
In an attempt to mislead authorities, Ramadevi lodged a missing person complaint the following day. However, suspicions grew after Sampath’s son pressed police for a deeper investigation. Officers examined call records, CCTV footage, and location data, which eventually led to the trio.
All three accused have reportedly confessed to the crime. The case has sparked widespread outrage over the disturbing influence of online content when misused for criminal intent.
