Mumbai, Aug 4: Actress Chitrangda Singh is set to appear in an upcoming Salman Khan-starrer, a film rooted in real-life military events that she describes as deeply personal and emotionally powerful. For Chitrangda, who comes from an army background, the story goes beyond just cinema — it’s about honoring unsung heroes and forgotten chapters of bravery.

“It’s a story of courage, and I remember this event being spoken about in army circles while growing up,” Chitrangda shared. “This isn’t just about the spectacle — it’s meaningful, it’s rooted, it’s real.”

While the film boasts a large scale and has Salman Khan in the lead, Chitrangda emphasized that it was the heart of the story that drew her in. “Everything Salman touches becomes massive, but what really matters is that this story deserves that scale,” she said.

Chitrangda also reflected on her recent experience working with director Honey Trehan in Raat Akeli Hai 2, calling it one of the most demanding roles of her career. “I usually get my best take by the second or third one,” she revealed. “But with Honey, I ended up giving 28 takes for one shot. It was intense, but I know my performance grew because of it.”

The actress said she is particularly drawn to films based on true events, noting that they offer both artistic depth and the chance to bring untold stories to the forefront. “Real-life stories have a power that fiction can’t match. They open up a new world for the audience — and for us as actors too,” she concluded.
