Delta faces lawsuit after vendor allegedly uses child’s lost iPad to upload porn

Charleston, Aug 1: A Delta Airlines vendor employee is facing a lawsuit after allegedly stealing a child’s lost iPad and using it to record and upload pornographic videos of himself in uniform to the family's iCloud account.

According to a report by the New York Post, parents Tory and Brooke Brewer filed a lawsuit in the US District Court in Charleston, accusing the airline and the worker of negligence and emotional abuse.

The incident occurred after the family boarded a Delta flight from Charleston, South Carolina, to New York’s JFK Airport on July 19, 2023, before heading to London. Upon arrival, they discovered their child’s iPad—housed in a Peppa Pig case—was missing, likely left behind in the seat pocket.

Using Apple's "Find My" feature, the child's mother tracked the device to Queens, New York. Days later, the family was shocked to find pornographic content in their iCloud account featuring a man pleasuring himself while wearing a Delta uniform and name badge.

The lawsuit also states that the man accessed their Amazon account and created a profile titled “Gay,” which one of the children later found.

Despite the family's complaint to Delta, they claim they received only an automated "no reply" email and no meaningful response thereafter.

“What should have been a fun family getaway turned into a distressing ordeal involving privacy breach and explicit content,” said the Brewers’ attorney, Tola Familoni from Motley Rice law firm.

The Brewers are seeking damages and accountability, citing negligence, harassment, and even sexual assault.

Responding to the case, Delta clarified, “The accused individual is not a Delta employee but one of a vendor company,” without disclosing the name of the contractor.
