Chennai, Jul 29: Actress Mahima Nambiar, known for her powerful roles in both Tamil and Malayalam cinema, was recently left emotional after receiving a deeply touching handwritten letter from a fan in the UK. The actor took to Instagram to share her heartfelt response and reflect on the unexpected gesture.

“So, out of nowhere, I received this letter from Mr. Thomas in the United Kingdom, and I feel completely overwhelmed with emotions,” Mahima wrote, alongside an image of the handwritten note penned in Malayalam.

In a warm and personal reply, Mahima addressed the fan as “Thomas chetta” (brother), expressing disbelief and gratitude at the effort he had taken to send a physical letter:

“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine someone would go to such lengths to find my address and send me such a beautiful note. I’m just an ordinary actor!”

The actress said the letter filled her with strength and encouragement, describing it as a moment she’ll cherish.

“This reminds me that every bit of effort was worth it. People like you make the world a better place.”

She didn’t stop there. Mahima extended her gratitude to all her supporters:

“Thank you to everyone for the love I receive through messages, comments, and those who run fan pages asking for nothing in return. You are truly amazing.”

The note from the UK-based fan praised her filmography and acting craft, referencing her impactful work across several films.

Mahima, who made her Tamil debut with the critically acclaimed Saattai, has since starred in Kuttram 23, Kodiveeran, Magamuni, Asuraguru, RDX, 800, and Bromance, steadily carving a niche with her versatile performances.

Her emotional post served as a reminder of how genuine fan appreciation can uplift artists — sometimes more than awards or accolades ever could.
