Karkala: Christ King School teams qualify for district level in shuttle badminton tournament

Karkala, Jul 29: In an impressive display of sporting talent, the primary school girls' team and high school boys' team from Christ King English Medium School, have qualified for the district-level shuttle badminton tournament.

The selection took place during the Karkala taluk-level Shuttle Badminton Tournament organized under the Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, and the Office of the Block Education Officer, Karkala. The event was hosted at the indoor sports complex of Sri Bhuvanendra College, Karkala.

Representing the Christ King primary section, in the girls team were Khushi Shetty and Vismita from grade 8, along with Trishma S and Katlyn Angel Pinto from grade 6. The team performance secured them a place at the district-level competition.

In the high school boys category, the selected team included Gaurav R, Pratham Shetty, Shobith K H, and Achu Vidyoparj Gurukulam from grade 10, as well as Galvin Joel Pinto from grade 9. Their coordinated efforts and determination earned them a well-deserved spot in the next round of the competition.

The teams were guided and mentored by the school’s physical education instructors – Krishna Prasad, Prakash Nayak, and Lavanya, who played a vital role in the teams preparation and success. The school community has expressed pride in the young athlete’s achievements and is hopeful for a strong performance at the district level.
