Bantwal, July 28: The Bantwal assembly constituency committee of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) organised the Nammura Hemme felicitation programme to honour meritorious SSLC and PUC students of the 2024–25 academic year. The event was held on Sunday evening at Ambedkar Bhavan in B C Road.
Former minister B Ramanath Rai, who presided over the function, said, “During student life, it is important to remain committed to the values of the Constitution. NSUI inspires students to live in harmony, embracing unity in diversity and fostering mutual respect among all religions, castes, and communities. Many who began their journey with NSUI have gone on to hold prominent positions in politics and society.”



KPCC secretary M S Muhammad, NSUI leaders Pius L Rodrigues, Chandraprakash Shetty Tumbe, Panemangaluru block Congress president Chandrashekar Bhandari, notary and advocate Ashwini Kumar Rai, NSUI state vice president Farooq Bayabe, district president Suhan Alva, Youth Congress state secretary Suraiyya Anjum, and district president Ibrahim Nawaz Badakabail were present and conveyed their best wishes.

NSUI Bantwal assembly constituency committee president Muhammad Safwan welcomed the gathering, and vice president Srivatsa Kalladka proposed the vote of thanks.
NSUI office-bearers Nihal Nehrunagar, Siddiq Kodapadavu, Savad Vamadapadavu, Salman Bollai, Pavan Bollai, Najeeb Manchi, Sadiq Talittanunji, and Jamsheed Moolarapatna coordinated the event. Journalist Latif Neralakatte compered the programme.
