KSRTC launches weekend temple tour covering seven pilgrimage sites from Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jul 26: In a bid to offer spiritual solace and promote heritage tourism, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru Central Division, has unveiled a special weekend temple tour package. The initiative aims to take devotees on a one-day pilgrimage circuit covering some of the most revered temples around Bengaluru.

The exclusive tour, titled ‘Bengaluru–Shivagange–Siddaganga Matha–Devarayanadurga–Goravanahalli–Vidhurashwatha–Ghati Subramanya’, will be operational every Saturday and Sunday, starting July 26. The journey will be conducted using KSRTC’s Ashwamedha Classic buses, ensuring both comfort and reliability over a stretch of 277 kilometers.

The spiritual itinerary commences at 6:30 am from Bengaluru and concludes by 8 pm on the same day. The pilgrimage includes visits to:

• Sri Gangadhareshwara and Honnamma Devi temples, Shivagange

• Sri Siddaganga Matha, Tumakuru

• Bhoga Narasimha Temple, Devarayanadurga

• Sri Mahalakshmi Temple, Goravanahalli

• Ashwatha Narayanaswamy Temple, Vidhurashwatha

• Ghati Subramanya Temple, Doddaballapur

KSRTC has fixed the fare at Rs 650 for adults and Rs 500 for children aged between 6 to 12 years. The package, however, does not include entrance fees, meals, or personal expenses.

Officials from the transport corporation have urged the public, especially devotees, to make the most of this divine weekend escape. Bookings can be made through the official websites – www.ksrtc.in or www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in.
