Mumbai, Jul 26: Actor Suniel Shetty has revealed that he took a renewed approach to his character Santha in the second season of the action-thriller series Hunter, adding new emotional layers and depth to the role.
Speaking to reporters, Shetty shared that he approached Hunter 2 with a completely fresh mindset, consciously altering Santha’s body language, emotions, and appearance to reflect the character’s evolution. Unlike the first season, where Santha was portrayed as carefree and somewhat detached, this time the story centers around a father’s desperate search for his missing daughter — a shift that has profoundly changed the character's emotional core.

“I am very different in this season. The body language is different. The look is different. The emotions are different,” said Shetty. “Carefree and careless, Santha was in the first. Here it is more about family. And that is his only objective. There is no disturbance, no distraction. He wants his daughter back — at any cost.”
The veteran actor emphasized that his portrayal aimed to reflect the intense, single-minded obsession of a father. “Like any father, my obsession is Tia Nahan, and I don’t think beyond. If I have been able to bring out the emotion of a real father, then I believe I have done justice to the role.”
Hunter Season 2, directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, features an ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Anusha Dandekar, and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles. The series premiered for free on Amazon’s MX Player platform on July 24.
